Day Four arrived with a different request from my body and spirit.
Not rest.
Not softness.
But movement.
So today’s cup was Peppermint from Twinings—fresh, crisp, unapologetically alive. This is not a tea that whispers you into stillness. Peppermint wakes you up, shakes the energy loose, and says, Let’s circulate. Let’s breathe. Let’s go.

From the very first sip, peppermint announces itself through sensation. Cool on the tongue. Bright in the breath. Expansive in the chest. It feels like opening windows inside the body—suddenly there is more space, more airflow, more clarity.
There is something especially powerful about peppermint in January. In the heart of winter—when the air is cold, the days are quiet, and the body naturally slows—peppermint feels like a spark of green life beneath the snow. It doesn’t fight the season; it enlivens it. While winter asks us to rest and reflect, peppermint ensures we don’t stagnate. It keeps energy circulating, spirits lifted, and awareness sharp. It’s the reminder that even in the stillness of winter, life is moving, breath is flowing, and renewal is already underway.
Physically, peppermint is a powerful ally. It supports digestion, relieves tension in the gut, and encourages circulation throughout the system. It helps ease headaches, clears sinuses, and refreshes the nervous system. When the body feels sluggish or compressed, peppermint brings immediate relief by restoring movement and flow.
But peppermint’s real magic lies in how it revitalizes.
On a mental level, it sharpens focus and clears mental fog. It’s the tea you reach for when your thoughts feel stuck or heavy, when your energy has gone flat, or when you need a reset without overstimulation. Peppermint brings clarity without agitation—a rare and beautiful balance.
Energetically, peppermint activates the upper channels—throat, third eye, and crown—while simultaneously clearing the field around the body. It has a cleansing, almost electric quality, cutting through stagnation and helping energy move freely again. If chai grounded Day One, and elderberry offered gentle resilience on Day Two, peppermint is the catalyst—it restores momentum.
As I drank this cup, I noticed my posture lift. My breath deepen. My mood lighten. There was a subtle joy in it—a sense of freshness that reminded me that presence doesn’t always look like stillness. Sometimes presence looks like aliveness. Like feeling your body say yes to being here.
Peppermint teaches us that spiritual practice doesn’t have to be quiet or contemplative to be sacred. Sometimes the most spiritual thing we can do is re-engage with our vitality. To bring energy back into circulation. To feel awake inside ourselves.
This tea carries the message: Clear the pathways. Let the life force move.
If you’re sipping peppermint today, I invite you to notice:
Where does your energy want to move?
What feels ready to wake up inside you?
Let the tea energize your body, refresh your mind, and remind your spirit that joy can be simple, bright, and immediate.
Here’s to Day Four— to clarity, circulation, and the sacred spark of being fully alive.
One of the quiet wisdoms tea teaches us is this: the body, the spirit, and the seasons are always in conversation.
Just as nature shifts her pace and priorities throughout the year, so do we. When we choose tea in harmony with the season, we’re not just supporting the body—we’re aligning with a larger rhythm that brings balance, clarity, and ease.
Think of this as a way of listening to the year as it unfolds.
(December–February)
Winter is a season of inwardness. Energy naturally retreats, digestion slows, and the nervous system asks for warmth, protection, and steadiness. The goal here isn’t stimulation—it’s circulation without depletion.
Best Winter Teas:
Chai
Peppermint
Ginger
Elderberry blends
Cinnamon teas
Mind–Body–Spirit Benefits:
These teas warm the body, support immunity, aid digestion, and keep energy moving without overwhelming the system. Metaphysically, they protect the energetic field, strengthen the root and solar plexus, and help us stay present rather than withdrawn or stagnant during darker months.
Winter Tea Wisdom:
Drink slowly. Let warmth anchor you. Winter tea is about tending the flame.
(March–May)
Spring is when energy begins to rise again. The body wants to cleanse, the mind seeks clarity, and the spirit feels ready for renewal. This is the season of circulation, clearing, and gentle awakening.
Best Spring Teas:
Green tea
Dandelion
Nettle
Lemon balm
Mind–Body–Spirit Benefits:
These teas support liver function, detoxification, and mental clarity. Energetically, they help clear stagnation, awaken intuition, and encourage forward movement without force.
Spring Tea Wisdom:
Sip with intention. Ask: What am I ready to release? What is ready to grow?
(June–August)
Summer is expansive, expressive, and outward-facing. Energy is high, emotions are closer to the surface, and the body needs cooling and hydration to stay balanced.
Best Summer Teas:
Hibiscus
Mint (peppermint or spearmint)
Green tea (iced or lightly brewed)
Rose
Lemongrass
Mind–Body–Spirit Benefits:
These teas cool inflammation, hydrate the body, and support heart energy. Spiritually, they encourage joy, openness, emotional flow, and connection.
Summer Tea Wisdom:
Let tea be playful. Brew it lightly. Let it refresh rather than anchor.
(September–November)
Autumn is the great integrator. It helps us digest the year—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The body benefits from grounding support, and the spirit turns reflective.
Best Autumn Teas:
Earl Grey
Black tea blends
Rooibos
Cinnamon-spice blends
Rose hip and berry teas
Mind–Body–Spirit Benefits:
These teas support digestion, grounding, and emotional processing. Energetically, they help us integrate lessons, honor transitions, and prepare for inward winter rhythms.
Autumn Tea Wisdom:
Drink mindfully. Reflect. Let tea become a bridge between what was and what’s coming.
Tea is never just tea.
It is a way of listening to the body.
A way of honoring the season you’re in.
A way of practicing presence through something beautifully ordinary.
As you move through the year, let your tea change with you. Let it support where you are—not where you think you should be.
One cup.
One season.
One conscious moment at a time.

With warmth, presence, and deep intention,
