Yesterday we discussed the origin of tea and so we understand that Tea is not made by accident, it is made by change.
Before tea can exist, two things must surrender their original state. Water must transform and Leaf must let go. As the saying goes, the only constant in life, is change.Â
Water is content to remain as it is — fluid and unassuming. But tea asks something more of it. The water must be heated until it begins to tremble with uncertainty, perhaps feeling like a caterpillar, not knowing what it will morph into next. The water continues to heat up until it reaches a point where it can no longer remain what it was. It becomes steam. It becomes motion. It becomes receptive in a new form of consciousness.
Only then is it ready.
The tea leaves, too, begin as something self-contained. They are guarded, holding their essence close. But when the transformed water meets them, they soften. They open. They release what they have been holding inside. Flavor - Color -Â Health -Â Wisdo...

Dear Reader, I would like to acknowledge you and say Hi and thank you for joining me here on this tea journey. I know your time is valuable and I am honored that you take a moment to spend this time with me. Â
My thoughts today turned back to why I'm writing an article about tea each day... The short answer is, as we live in this busy and chaotic world, I believe starting the day with a moment of mindfulness creates a big change within ourselves, which then radiates outward.
I decided to integrate this wisdom teaching by taking this action and sharing this daily experience with you. As the hermetic axiom states: as within, so without, and as a Traditional Feng Shui master, I have always ascribed to this proverb by Confucius:
If there is light in the soul, there will be beauty in the person.
If there is beauty in the person, there will be harmony in the house.
If there is harmony in the house, there will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation, there will be peace i...

Today’s tea felt less like a drink and more like attending a very important gathering.
The tea is Creano Hot Ingwer — known for its spicy, and fruity nature — and as I steeped it, I had the distinct sense that each ingredient had arrived with a purpose.

This was not a casual meeting. This was a summit. A gathering of botanicals convened in this conference to discuss one thing only: How shall we warm, restore, and strengthen the human today?
At this Conference, the attendees were as listed...
Ginger (30%) She arrived first, of course. She is the keynote speaker. The one with fire in her voice and heat in her hands. Ginger believes in circulation, movement, and waking things up that have gone sluggish.Â
Black Pepper (8%) follows close behind — sharp, precise, and unafraid. He is Ginger’s ally in action. Where Ginger encourages, Pepper insists. He opens pathways, increases absorption, and makes sure the message actually lands.
Together they create the famous spicy kick — th...

Today’s tea felt like meeting a woman with a story.
I chose English Rose tea from Whittard, and from the first sip, she revealed herself not as a delicate flower, but as a woman of depth, history, and quiet strength. She is beautiful, yes—but her beauty is not fragile. It is earned.
This is a tea that has known adversity.
Cold seasons.
Storms.
Long winters.
And yet, she blooms anyway.

English Rose is the kind of woman who has been through things and does not complain about them. She does not dramatize nor does she demand attention. She is simply stoic in her grace, and offers comfort to anyone who sits beside her.
She believes in:
composure over chaos
dignity over drama
softness without surrender
strength without hardness
She has learned how to hold herself in the world that has shown her its best and its worst. She understands that poise is not about perfection—it’s about presence.

Energetically, English Rose works on the heart and the nervous sy...

 Today’s tea arrived with attitude.
The name alone — Super Fruity — sounded less like a beverage and more like a pop star making her entrance. And before I even took the first sip, I found myself singing: She’s super fruit… she’s super fruity, yeah!  (And yes, I absolutely committed to singing and dancing to that in my kitchen.)
This tea is a joyful chorus of apple, hibiscus, rosehip, currants, elderberry, and orange — which means it’s not here to be subtle. It’s here to be bright, bold, and completely open about it.

Apple is the steady rhythm section. Sweet and familiar. Apple makes everything feel friendly and approachable, like the chorus you can’t help but sing along with.
Hibiscus comes in sharp and dramatic, belting out the high notes. She brings that flavor that wakes up your mouth and your mood. She is lead singer energy.
Rosehip softens the edges, adding heart. She’s the one who reminds everyone this is still a love song, not a competition.
Currants are the pla...
Dear Gentle Reader, in life, we generally find that every great blend has an interesting beginning.
If you know me, you know I love history and so of course on this year long tea journey that I've embarked upon, I am tracing the history and origin of tea. What I have recently found is... if you trace most fruity, floral, and tasty teas back to their roots, you’ll eventually find two names on the paperwork: Rose Hips and Hibiscus

They are sisters and business partners, and together, they are the foundation of more teas than they’ll ever brag about.
Rose Hips is the sweet one. She’s warm, nurturing, and quietly powerful. She brings vitamin C, antioxidants, and emotional comfort wherever she goes. Rose Hips believes in kindness and in making things better without making a fuss about it. She’s the sister who bakes muffins for the staff and remembers everyone’s birthday.
Energetically, Rose Hips works on the heart — restoring, soothing, and reminding you that life can be gentle again....

The other day while I was thinking about all of the different types of teas and their personalities, the thought occurred to me that...
If Earl Grey is the hedge fund of teas, then it’s only fair to say that:
Matcha is a startup and Chamomile is a trust fund.
And once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
Matcha bursts onto the scene with big ideas and bigger energy.
She’s bright, highly visible, and full of ambition. Matcha believes in disruption. She has a pitch deck. She talks about optimization, efficiency, and “maximizing potential.”
Matcha doesn’t steep — she launches.
She delivers immediate focus and the unmistakable sense of “I could do anything right now.” She’s the tea you drink when you’re building something, pushing boundaries, or working late fueled by vision and adrenaline.
Physically, matcha offers:
sustained energy
enhanced concentration
antioxidants
Energetically, she activates the solar plexus and third eye — confidence, clarity, and drive.

Today’s tea felt like walking into an unexpected garden party that you only found out about when a friend asked you last minute to be their plus one. Â
It's called Wellness Tea, by Creano, an organic blend featuring spearmint, nettle leaves, fennel, lemon balm, licorice root, green tea, mate, with natural notes of grapefruit, spirulina, and burdock root—and the first thing that crossed my mind was this... This tea is like a Chex Mix situation. Individually, each ingredient is interesting. But together, they become something better than the sum of their parts.

Meet the Guests...
The back porch door opens, and Spearmint is the first to arrive, chatting away and instantly uplifting, Spearmint is the one who opens the windows, makes everyone breathe deeper, and gets fresh with you. If Spearmint was a zodiac sign, he would be a Gemini. Bright, refreshing and quick-witted. Spearmint clears the air and gets conversation flowing. A Gemini energy through and through — light, clever, and...
Earl Grey does not chase attention. Attentio gravitates to him.Â
If Earl Grey were a man, he would arrive precisely when expected, impeccably dressed, and already preceded by his reputation.Â
Conversations would subtly shift in his direction. Someone would straighten their posture as he walked by while someone else would suddenly remember an event they were hoping he might attend.
He is distinguished without effort, evocative without trying, and universally appealing. The ladies adore him. The gentlemen study him carefully, wondering how one acquires such ease.
Earl Grey’s secret lies in his contrast.
At his core, he is black tea—solid, reliable, grounded. He has substance and depth. He shows up and he handles responsibility with quiet competence.
And then there is bergamot, the unexpected rare twist. Bergamot is the silk lining in his tailored jacket. The flash of personality behind his composure. The reason you remember him long after he has left the room.
This combination ma...

The mind begins to dull and grow sleepy.
The body wants a little lift, usually with a snack.
The spirit glances at the clock in the office and thinks, Surely it’s snack/tea time somewhere.
And that is precisely when three co-workers,  Black Tea, Jasmine, and Bergamot found themselves in the same office kitchen, each looking for a quick pick-me-up.
Black Tea arrived first, of course. He's dependable, capable and slightly overworked. Entering the break room, he loosened his tie, rolled up his sleeves, cracked his neck left and right and said, “Right then. Let’s find something to get through the rest of the day.”
Jasmine floated into the room next, almost unnoticed at first. She didn’t need caffeine—she was longing for something to center her instead. She leaned against the counter, breathing in, reminding everyone that not everything needed to be done urgently to be done well.
Next, Bergamot burst through the door next, bright-eyed ...
