Kala Ambrose has seen the energy fields known as the aura around people, animals and nature her entire life. As a wisdom teacher, Kala shares her lifetimes of experience and training with her students here through her Academy of Mystical Arts and Spiritual Sciences.
Her book, The Awakened Aura, has received three prestigious awards for her work in this field. In her Six Week Online AURA SCHOOL Course, Kala teaches you how to see auras and more importantly, how to clear the energy in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual fields of the aura in order to reach your highest and full potential.
The color – “true red” when viewed in the aura indicates physical vitality and primal power. It has a force all its own and generally indicates a strong connection with the physical body. Red is connected to the first (root) chakra.
I describe true red as appearing similar to a shiny red apple. When this color is seen in the aura, the person is very connected with their physical body. In balance, red stimulates passion in creative and sexual forms. Those with a lot of red in their aura should take care to keep it in balance. An overabundance of red energy can lead to inflammation and circulation problems.
There is a brighter, flashier color of red that appears in some auras and most times when I see this color it appears in people who work in very physical and exciting jobs. Examples I have viewed include athletes, military, firemen and emergency medical rescue workers who travel to a scene to help people.
When the red color is “flaring” around the person, it looks like spaghetti sauce cooking in a pot when little bits come popping out splashing on the stove. The red is still a shiny red, but it’s bubbling. When I see this, it indicates that the person is sexually aroused and ready to engage in activity. If you want to see a lot of this red color bubbling in action, go to a nightclub. Tune in to the dance floor where people are dancing and you’ll see red in the auras everywhere.
In some auras, the red color will darken and appear murky and thick. It looks more like hot lava, with a bit of black mixed in with it. This indicates in the aura that the person is holding on to a great deal of anger and when they do “explode with anger”, it is very much like a volcanic eruption.
Typically when viewing this aura, I also see symbols and other imprints in the aura that identify where some of the anger is based and where it originated from. This can be very helpful information if the person is willing to discuss the imprints that I see, as we can work to let them go and release the anger in a positive manner. I always work hard to help people in these cases, as it was taught to me in the esoteric teachings that anger is a form of mental cancer and left untreated, it eats away at you from the inside out.
Some people hold on to their anger, believing that it fuels and drives them and makes them feel more alive and in control. When one is ruled by anger, it becomes the master and takes more energy away from the auric fields than it gives back. The result is that the person becomes drained and depleted. The only emotion they can pull from is the anger, which becomes a self-defeating process as it takes even more energy to pull up and release the anger. The process is similar to what it feels like when the adrenal glands are depleted.
Recommendations to Connect with and Enhance Red:
Foods: red apples, cherries, tomato pasta sauce, beets, red peppers, tomatoes, tomato juice, strawberries, red kidney beans
Home Décor: A fire in the fireplace or by candlelight is the easiest way to connect with the energy of red in your home and can be taken a step further by using a red candle. Red as paint can feel aggressive and should be used sparingly in the home. The best room for red in the home is the dining room, where the warmth is presented with food and only brief periods of time are spent in the room for this activity. An all red kitchen would be overwhelming and out of balance, but punches of red in the kitchen with accents such as a backsplash and other accents, provides the same warmth as created in the dining room. Typically, I recommend not using red in the bedroom. Some people think of using this color to ignite passion, but most times in the bedroom, it interferes with getting a restful night’s sleep and radiates too much fire energy, which stimulates arguments instead.
Clothing: A punch of red worn around the neck such as a scarf for women or a tie for men, increases your forcefulness and power. A red shirt or dress exudes sensuality, physical activity and drive. Wearing red pants or a skirt, typically brings the energy down and reduces the energy flow and should be avoided. The one exception is red shoes. They indicate a smoldering sexuality and burning passion and will ignite sexual fire.
Gemstones: red jasper, hematite, ruby, garnet, obsidian, red carnelian, and red coral
Flowers: red roses, hibiscus, geranium, red azalea, peonies, red tulips, red salvia, red amaranth, poinsettia, Christmas cactus, red crocus, gladiola, anthuriums and amaryllis.
Music: tribal music such as drumming and the flute are good to soothe and connect with the energy of red and the root (red) chakra.
Activities: Spending time in nature is very nurturing for red energy. If there is an overabundance of red energy, a strenuous activity like hiking will help to release the energy through the physical exercise. Afterwards spend time in a sauna to sweat out toxins and release old energy. To connect and balance red energy, get your hands in the earth. Gardening and planting will restore and connect your body and all of the energy fields with your root chakra, grounding you again into your center.
Mantra: I am safe and protected. All is well in my world. I am grounded by the earth and filled with light and power. Change is the natural order of the world and whatever changes I face, I am strong and handle them easily and comfortably. – Kala Ambrose
