Halloween is around the corner, are your outdoor decorations ready?
I know, I know... you're saying, but Kala, Covid has changed things, maybe there won't be any trick or treaters, why should I bother? Â And I say, Come on, this is exactly why we should be doing our absolute best to decorate outside, to show people some Halloween Spirit! So even when people drive by our home, they can enjoy a bit of the fun and spookiness of Halloween.
We choose every day to feel happy and to look for the good in life or to feel down and victimized by what's going on around us. We can't control the world, but we can control how we're going to feel about it and how much we will let it affect us on a daily basis and whether or not we're going to find a way to celebrate life.
So gather up your brooms and cauldrons witches, and let's get to decorating and sharing our love of the Holiday Seasons with the world.
Yesterday you saw what I've done with my Interior Design for Halloween this year, that I'...
Happy Halloween! Here's a peek at my Interior Design for Halloween this year in my home, which I'm calling A Toast to Witches. I hope it generates some fun ideas for your home too!
First up, I created a Witch's Shop Entrance in my home. I used a closet to hang the witches hats and robes in order to create what looks like an entrance to their shop.
From the foyer we venture into my Office where I recently chalk-painted this Bombe Chest.
In the center of my home is what I describe as the sacred space altar area. My pumpkin garland welcomes the energy of Fall into the home.
Over in the Kitchen area, I have my mantle that I change seasonally. This year I went for a darker look for Halloween, using a lot of black accents.
and then grouped some pumpkins over on the kitchen island.
and over on the breakfast room table, I'm exploring lots of color and can't help but smile at the moon phase sign.
In the corner of the kitchen, I'm brewing up something good in the cauldron and ...
Fall is around the corner and this year the colors are bolder than ever! Instead of going with traditional colors of bright orange and black for Halloween and brown and orange for Fall decor, this is a year to try something new and break out from the old colors.
Let me show you a couple of ideas!
Pump up the energy in your home with jewel tone colors this Fall, including golden mustard, tangerine orange and fuchsia pink! This fun twist from traditional colors, brings a vibrant burst of energy into your home, announcing that the holidays are coming and you are ready to party.Â
BONUS: If you're someone who is affected by the changing of the seasons, when skies get gray, the weather turns cold and daylight grows shorter, these juicy full of life colors are sure to brighten your home and your spirit!
Here's a few examples of how you can easily add these colors without redoing your entire home. They can be changed seasonally and are budget friendly.
First up, pillows and candles. ...

Welcome back to a peek into the rooms that I'm decorating for my clients.  My work as an Interior Designer is a bit different as it's completely unique in being tailored to you as I use my psychic intuitive abilities to tune into what design works best for you!
This is because I'm an Intuitive Interior Decorator. This means that I see the energy field known as the aura around people, places and nature and I psychically see the colors, style and energy that will work best in your home.
My intuitive interior designs are truly bespoke, renowned for capturing the spirit of both the room and your personal style. I intuitively tap into the energy of the home and read the aura of you, your partner, your children and other family members in order to create sacred space, using distinctive color and energy flow designs for each room that reflect your heart and soul in a personal and empowering manner.
Because of my intuitive abilities to see who you are at a soul level, I design homes...
Having a home that is uniquely decorated for you and who you are at the mind body spirit level brings a whole new level of what interior dĂ©cor can do for each of us. Home is our sacred space. It is our sanctuary, and it should reflect how we think and feel and love.Â
The intention of interior design is to bring harmony between people and their homes. In traditional feng shui, one of the most important "cures" (a correction to adjust the energy in a space) is to restore order by the removal of clutter and negative energy from the home. This allows positive energy (chi) to circulate fully throughout the room.
By removing overwhelming stimuli (clutter) a more peaceful environment is created. Removing clutter is very beneficial, but that's just the first step of the process.
Maybe you're not ready to redecorate your home on a big scale, but you can start with one room or closet that will make a big difference. An easy way to do this is to declutter! If you have a walk in closet, dec...
Celebrate Summer Solstice, the Brightest, Lightest Day of the Year with these quick tips from Kala on how to create sacred space in your home and use sound vibration to remove negative energy and fill your aura and your home with positive, loving, light energy!
Summer is almost here and it's time to welcome the season in a big way with splashes of color! When I say splashes, I really mean lots and lots of color!
As a person who sees auras, I recognize how important color is in our life, in what we wear, in our home decor and around us throughout the day. In my work as an Intuitive Interior Designer, I work with each client to bring color into their home to make it a happy and welcoming environment.
How important is color? Let's talk about the ancient practice of Chromotherapy.
Many ancient cultures including the Egyptians practiced Chromotherapy, which is also referred to as light therapy or colorology. Chromotherapy is based on using color to adjust the energy level and vibrational frequency in the body to help with wellness and balance.Â
We are essentially bodies of light and the light in the aura can be viewed through the prism of seven colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet), what we call in the design world ROY...
We all have that one room in our home that we wish could be different. Maybe the room is too small, too dark, too something that's just not right. In my current home, it's the guest bathroom. It's small and shaped at an odd angle. You can get in there to do what you need to do, but there's nothing fun or relaxing about it.
There's not much that can be done with this space, it's squeezed into an area where there's no room to expand the walls ,so there are serious limits to what can be done.
The most apparent problem in this space is what greets you when you walk into it, which is the very old, outdated wallpaper. You know it's old when you see it, for several reasons, first, wallpaper has been out of style for over two decades and is only making a comeback now and second, it has the trademarked look of 90's wallpaper, which means, it's not just wallpaper, it also has a wallpaper border on top of the wallpaper.
Let's take a look at the bathroom: (Before)

"Good morning Kala! Hope you had a good weekend. I am working hard on a lot of the advice you gave me during my consultation with you. I read that tonight is a Scorpio Full Moon and a lot of what I’ve read has lined up with a lot of what I’m feeling and going through. I wanted to do a little ritual or something tonight for it and was wondering if you had any advice/guidance on what I should/shouldn’t do. I'm so grateful for you and for our talk, it really helped me so much, thank you"! - Claudia, Florida

"Hello Kala! I have loved your book The Awakened Aura for about 6 years now. It’s inspired me and it is very beautifully written. In the book you talk about 2020 being the year that human beings evolve into more conscious beings, auras strengthening and humans becoming more in tune".
"I was wondering if you were working on any blogs, books, or articles that pertain to this?
After everything going on, I am attending a peaceful protest today to pass out supplies and offer support and I will be around a lot of people who are seeking change. Â Thank you for your time and books" đź’• - Brittney G.
